Dr. Guirand is focused on the intersection of medicine, technology, and preventive care. As founder of sculpMD, he uses data-driven insights to deliver personalized solutions in prevention, weight management, and physical performance optimization. With an emphasis on proactive care, Dr. Guirand empowers patients to take control of their long-term health.
Dr. Guirand earned a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine–Chicago and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. He is currently pursuing advanced clinical training in Occupational and Preventive Medicine at Penn Medicine. His medical background includes experience in general surgery, ECMO/Critical Care, and has published clinical research.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Guirand’s passion for innovation was shaped by a culture of cutting-edge science and technology. Prior to entering medicine, he served as an enlisted United States Marine with the 3rd ANGLICO, studied Biochemistry & Cell Biology at the University of California San Diego and brings a mission-driven mindset to every aspect of his work.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Guirand has competed internationally as a masters-level decathlete. He has represented the United States at World Masters Track & Field Championships in France, Australia, and Sweden, and is a proud member of the Greater Philadelphia Track Club and USATF Masters Team USA.
